My husband and I have come to agree on getting a 4×4 as the family car. Now we have to agree on the actual purchase. In perusing various websites, I was glad when I read "Land Rover for Sale". That's exactly the make we have decided on, so the search for the specific vehicle for us is on! We're enjoying the essential research and the kids have said they'd like to choose the colour! We've agreed to see what colour they ultimately choose, and if we like it too, we'll go with it, if not, we'll give them a choice between 2 colour that we like. This has been a fun point of family discussion, and I've even seen our youngest drawing pictures of cars and colouring them different colours. Since it seems to matter so much to them, we're happy to let them have a say. In fact, I've enjoyed being reminded of what it's like to be a child…not to be aware of the adult cares and implications of things…to have fun being focused on the colour!

Harley-Davidson has been supplying motorcycles to America's law enforcement agencies for more than a century. Now the company is making a donation to support the first-ever National Law Enforcement Museum, with the gift of special motorcycle.

The 2011 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU Ultra Classic Electra Glide Peace Officer Special Edition is being donated to a non-profit museum fund, which will then raffle the bike for $25 a ticket, with the proceeds going to build the Law Enforcement Museum in Washington, DC. The first 1,000 individuals who purchase two or more raffle tickets in the same transaction will receive a limited edition t-shirt as well. The motorcycle has a retail price of $21,747, and only 4,000 raffle tickets are being sold. Tickets can be purchased via phone or in person at the Memorial Fund's Visitor's Center in Washington, DC, where the bike is currently on display. The drawing will take place on May 16.

Helmets are critical protective gear for motorcyclists, yet many still oppose laws which mandate the use of helmets. According to attorneys who specialize in compensation for injury for motorcyclists, the consequences of failure to wear helmets are clear as they see too many of these accidents with fatal consequences.

New York law, for example, requires the use of helmets due to the large body of research suggesting that the risk of serious injury is much higher in those riders who do not wear helmets. Even the safest rider faces a high risk of injury due to the actions of other drivers. Unfortunately, many drivers fail to share the road properly with motorcyclists and this is one of the major causes of motorcycle injuries and accidents. In a motorcycle collision with a larger vehicle, it is usually the motorcyclist that suffers the greater harm, particularly as the body of the motorcyclist is very exposed.
