Force India Release 2010 Car
Filed in archive F1 Racing by Stephen Lunn on February 10, 2010
Force India return to F1 this year and have released to the press images of the car with which they will take on new arrivals such as Lotus and Virgin Racing. The 2010 season has the largest number of new runners that we have seen in many years, and Force India will have their work cut out climbing into the top half of the constructor's championship.

Force India Release 2010 Car

One of the new teams for this season includes Lotus, with who Heikki Kovalainen has said he will once again find his form. Last season was disappointing for him, in a McLaren team that couldn't keep up with Red Bull and Brawn.

One of the most interesting teams to watch will be the new Spanish outfit Campos Meta. The one driver they have on board at the minute is Bruno Senna. While Brawn were the new-kids-on-the-block last year, these guys are going to give F1 fans a lot to talk about. A debut team and a debut racer, who just happens to be the nephew of a little known Ayrton with the same surname...

Ross Brawn Believes in New Points System
Filed in archive F1 Racing by Stephen Lunn on February 4, 2010
Ross Brawn has predicted that drivers will fight for 1st place with more vigour and determination in the coming Formula One season, making it one of the most unpredictable championship campaigns yet.

We already expected that, thanks to the new partnership between Button and Hamilton at McLaren, we could see some infighting and less team-loyalty this year. With the new points system which sees 1st to 10th, as opposed to 1st to 8th, awarded a sequence of 25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1, we can expect that all racers will want as high a finish as possible, and will have added incentive to chase first-place thanks to the new 7-point gap.

Other news include the hint that MotoGP racer Valentino Rossi, who had revealed that his future lay in rallying, may extend his career as far as 2012, or at least make a return then, when the sport brings back the huge and "more fun" 1000cc engines.

Ferrari Waging War on the Naysayers
Filed in archive F1 Racing by Stephen Lunn on January 28, 2010
Ferrari F1 have unveiled their new car, which they will use to reinstate their team at the top of the constructors championship in the new season.

After a "painful" 2009 and the 2010 season fast approaching, the F1 world were waiting with baited breath for the team to reveal the design of their new vehicle, which will be driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. After the return of the team's uber-driver Michael Schumacher was almost achieved during last season's spell without the injured Brazilian Massa, and the German legend's revelations that he will instead drive for Mercedes during the 2010 season, it looked as if it would as an abortive a start to the season as last year.

However, Fernando Alonso, 2006 World Champion, has said "we are ready to face the challenge" ahead of the team. The new car will certainly put the wind up the competition, as you can never write Ferrari off.
