Local ATV enthusiasts are trying to get "their kind" invited to ride in Clearview Township.
The Central Ontario ATV Club is trying to get "their kind" invited to ride in Clearview Township. The township already has a very lucrative winter as snow mobiles provide a great source of revenue. But once the snow melts and the snow mobiles go away, the town pretty much dries up.
Right now, ATVs are basically not allowed in town. A move to change that could prove beneficial financially to the town. With ATV sales continually going up, it's not like they're going to go away any times soon. This isn't the first place that's looked in to ATVs as a source of revenue either.
Some groups are even offering to build and maintain the trails themselves, effectively eliminating any tax burden on the area.
