Van Nuys residents cringe at the thought of having a motocross track near their homes. They made their point known when the city council rejected the proposed motocross track that may have been built on an old dump site, (aka landfill)

One resident in Sun Valley, 68 year old Mike O'Gara, made the claim that it would be "insane" to put a motocross track in a residential area. He went on to predict:

"How would you like to barbecue in your backyard with all that noise going on?"

Sorry, Mr. O'Gara, but given my 'druthers, I'd much rather listen to motorcycles while cooking dinner on my BBQ than smells the stench of a landfill.
