The Ocala National Forest is adding 45 miles of trails for motorcycles and ATVs to use. How generous. The new trails will be south of State Road 40 in the Big Scrub area and will circle the Pinecastle Bombing Range.

Even though the trail adds 45 more miles to the system, it eliminates about 2,000 miles of undesignated trails and roads that people used to ride. Now, to ride the "new" trails there will be fees.

Lets recap: The forest service thinks it's doing us all a favor by "opening 45 miles of trails", while it quietly CLOSES 2,000 miles of OTHER trails?

Must be that new math.
