Reporter Crashes ATV, I Just Don't Know Where to Start

Filed in archive ATV , ATV Safety , Humor , Learning , News , Videos on May 24, 2007

Oh... My God.

I'll make this quick so I don't wander off laughing uncontrollably or banging my head on the desk until I'm unconscious... Remember a few weeks ago when I posted about the Handy Throttle thumb converter for your ATV? Remember when I said
I prefer the thumb throttle because I ride a bit more, um... how shall we say; white knuckle than my wife. Using a twist throttle with that type of riding is not conducive to safety, because when you're holding on for dear life, you don't want to worry about in-inadvertently opening the thing up all the way.

Well that whole theory got blown right out of the water. This reporter was obviously not trained and had not taken any practice runs. In fact, I'd be willing to be she just plopped her butt up on that quad like she knew what she was doing, then found out she didn't.

You can tell exactly what happened by the way the quad lurched forward as she was trying to make the turn. And if that wasn't convincing enough, just before the camera pans her out of view, you can see her trying to climb up the side of that other quad like she was rock crawling or something.

I'm still trying to decide if the primary category for this post should be News, Safety or Humor.
