Michael's very good on his quad and has been a big help in bringing Cz out of his shell, just as the cousins have helped him get started on the quad, and helped him with the bicycle minus training wheels. Michael helped push Cz to the next level because of how close they are in age, and that they went to pre-school together. Michael's dad has been riding quads all his life, and his son is no different.
The first time I saw him ride I was shocked. Literally. He jumped on and took off like he'd been riding for 10 years. Did a burn out, spun it around spraying dirt all over and didn't bicycle it at all. He charged for the field and over a jump without any hesitation or second thought at all. I almost took off running after him to stop him because I thought he was going to crash. He didn't, and I sat there in awe for 5 minutes. Cz watched him too. Very closely. After a few trips around the field, he stopped and let Cz take a ride.
It didn't take long and Cz was going over the jump and down in the river bed. He was very careful and concentrating the entire time. He even paid more attention to what he was doing than he did to the camera. He never once over-rode his ability. He kept his eyes on the trail, kept his speed manageable, and did everything the way he was supposed to. Even when he stopped to listen to Michael at the bottom of the river bed and couldn't get up the hill, he didn't wait for me to push him, he coasted backwards just enough to get a running start and make it over.
