Free ATV Safety Course Dec. 15 from 10-3 at the Bonifas Civic Center in Escanaba, Mi
ATV Safety Courses are a great idea, especially for kids. But even experienced parents and adults can get a lot out of these courses.
Escanaba, Michigan sheriff's Association is offering free ATV Safety Training with the help of DNR Safety Instructor Tim Kobasic, who will be teaching the course. According to the Sheriff's department, there are no age limitations for people to take the course, but any children taking the course must be able to comprehend what's going on, and must be able to take a written test.
The courses should last about 4 hours each, and class sizes are limited to 30 students. Bring a sack lunch and a drink, and if you can, call ahead to make reservations. Walk-ins are OK, but only if class size allows.
To register, contact the Delta County Sheriff's Dept. at (906) 786-3633
