Knight Riders

The cousin's father has a banshee that he rides pretty well. Most trips to the desert, Alex insists on going on at least a short ride after the sun goes down. Usually it's pretty shortly after sunset, but sometimes it's later in the evening, upwards of 9 or 10 o-clock, depending on where we are and if there are noise limitations after 10:00. Because of this, we nicknamed him Knight Rider, and he wears the moniker proudly.

Of all the kids toys, only one has headlights. So one weekend when the cousins were over, they had spent the better part of the day riding, and this continued on until after dark. Well after dark. I was on the quad with the lights, so it was up to me to light their way, as we don't have any permanent lighting for the track. The kids all did very well and had a great time. Judging from their reactions, I think we might have to put up some lights for this summer.
