KSP Trooper Don Trosper and KDA Farm Safety Coordinator Dale Dobson.
I've said it a million times; Safety Training and Education are the best methods to reduce injuries and death related to ATVs. The Kentucky State Police and the Department of Agriculture teamed up yesterday (Thursday) to start getting ready for ATV safety training in the area.
The Kentucky State Police sent 18 State Troopers to take a 4-hour long ATV safety training course at Police headquarters in Frankfort. This in an effort to curb Kentucky's current status one of the deadliest states in relation to ATV accidents.
Kentucky is going to try to get a quarter of a million dollars to do the training state wide. If you're in Kentucky and want more info about ATV Safety and Training, contact the Department of Agriculture at (502) 564-4696 or Kentucky State Police at 502-695-6353.
