Handy Throttle
Last weekend we went to Lake Morena in the Cleveland National Forrest in San Diego, Ca. The big plan was camping, fishing and riding ATVs on the trails of corrallinks Canyon OHV area with the families for Mother's Day.

I took my Handy Throttle thumb throttle conversion kit with me so I could do a field-install, so to speak. I wanted to see just how easy it was to install.

I've been putting off installing the Handy Throttle because I've been worried about having problems getting the original grip off. To my surprise, it came of with just a little bit of effort. I suggest using a small amount of water to help lubricate it a bit.

After less than 30 seconds of twisting and peeling, the grip came off easily and painlessly. A quick scan of the instructions and I was installing the Easy Throttle's four piece kit. Armed with one Phillips and one flat tip screwdriver I set out on my mission by sliding on the first part, the short ring.

Next came the two longer pieces that slid onto the handle and interlocked with the first short ring I installed. So far, it has been absolutely painless to install the Handy Throttle, and taken up an amazingly short 3 to 5 minutes, including scanning the directions and getting tools together.

Finally, you slide the replacement grip on. A small amount of any liquid will work, in this case, we used Budweiser because it was handy. Adjust the thumb throttle so the twist throttle will engage it and move it all the way to full throttle. That's it! The Handy Throttle is installed and ready to ride!

Check back here some time after Memorial Day for a field test, (I didn't go riding this weekend, and the next trip is planned for Memorial Day Weekend.) Our first impression of the Handy Throttle concerning the installation is that it was incredibly easy and painless. I am looking forward to giving it a run, and my wife seems very happy that she can use the familiar twist throttle that she's used to on her GSXR750.
