Gas Prices, Are You Mad Yet?
It's probably no secret, gas prices are expected to hit over $4.00/gallon USD by summer. In some areas, like mine where it's among the nation's highest price, (in San Diego, Ca), I'm expecting closer to $4.50/gallon. While this has an impact on just about all of us who drive, it may have even more of an impact on those of us that use gasoline in our recreation.

I don't usually think about fueling the rail, motorcycles and quads much. It generally takes more to get to where we ride than we spend on actual riding. That may all change soon, especially if the price of diesel stays relatively lower than regular gas, which is part of the reason I bought a diesel in the first place.

I'm curious how long before people start getting mad about the prices of gas and start doing something about it. I remember not to long ago when the freeways of L.A. were used as a dumping ground for truckers to stop work and leave their trucks on the freeway in protest of gas prices. It took about one morning to see results.

I think it's time to get mad again. Tune up your car, check the tire pressure, take your foot out of the carburetor, and only drive when necessary. Better yet, get out the motorcycles and park that gas hog in the garage.
