Edwards/Rossi On Top at End Of Sepang Round 2 Testing
Filed in archive News on February 7, 2007
The Texas Tornado, Colin Edwards, smashed the Sepang pole position record on the final day of testing in Malaysia, with an outstanding run of 2'00.248. That run on qualifying tires, along with another great performance by Italian Valentino Rossi, put the Yamaha M1 800cc clearing on top of the heap as we inch closer to the opening of the 2007 MotoGP season.
The two Yamahas were followed loosely by Kawasaki racing's Randy de Puniet, with a time of 2'02.071. The entire MotoGP field will now head out to Qatar for another round of testing from Feb 13 thru the 15th.
