Kunkletown Kids need safer recreational areas to ride ATVs, and they thought they had it. The Weekend Warroirs Motocross Club have an off road course off Silver Spring Boulevard that's opened on weekends to ATVs and dirt bikes, where each person on the course pays $25.00 a day to ride.
There's a guy, Kenneth Starner, building a new house across the street that is complaining about the noise and dust. He bought some land next to an ATV motocross course, and now he wants that course shut down? Does that mean I can get that airport a couple miles from my house shut down because I now don't like it? I mean, it was fine when I bought the house, now it sucks and I want it removed.."
The course was told to shut down or face 250.00 a day fines. It's staying open so far. But for how long is anybodies guess.
It just seems that we've gotten to a point where personal responsibility has been all but eliminated. People buying houses then complaining about the area around the house, as if they didn't know about it when they bought.
