Close the Beach Year Round to Protect Wintering Bird
A federal judge condemned riding on the beaches of the Oregon Inlet, N.C. The National Park Service must decide whether or not to uphold the ruling that would ban ATVs and other OHVs from riding on the beach year round in order to save a "wintering piping plover", a shore bird protected by the endangered specieslinks Act.

The bird is only there during winter, but enviro extremists want it closed year round.
