City Council in Hurley MI Must Make a Trail or Ban ATVs

ATVs are allowed to ride on snow-mobile routes to get to trails
Hurley, MI is a very popular ATV town. There is "an ATV in almost every garage", and ATVs are currently allowed to use existing designated Snow-mobile routes to get from their homes to ATV trails. But the Sheriff is upset because he feels that ATVs should not be classified as and using the same ordinances as snow-mobiles.
That is forcing the city to either put up or shut out. Hurley Mayor reports that there are now more ATV registrations in the city than there are snow-mobile registrations, so I would be hard pressed to believe that the city residents would actually allow ATVs to be banned, but you never know.
