Cause and Effect: ATV Crash Videos
I've been talking about safety to all three of my regular readers here at Under My Helmet for several months now. Perhaps it's time I start showing you some videos, and explaining the cause and effect.
I'll start with this mental midget in the sand on a quad with no helmet. He's doing some donuts, kind of taking it easy. Then he takes a jump, and plows into a guy sitting at the top of the jump.
You really got to wonder about the cogent ability of this guy. He's obviously impaired, he jumped right in to that guy that was sitting there. It's not easy to tell from the camera shot, but it looks like Mr. Mental Midget over there HAD to have seen him. Maybe he thought he could clear him.
Lessons learned?
Wear a helmet, especially if your drunk buddy is doing donuts at the bottom of a hill and you're sitting at the top watching. You might not have time to move out of his way.
