California Wants Emissions Limits on "Non-Road" Engines

There's a big push for cleaner air. I'm all for that. Growing up in San Bernardino, I can remember being up on Arrowhead Mntn, looking down in the valley and not being able to see much because of the smog. It was terrible. Even when I moved away, and came back as an adult many years later, the smog burned my eyes.
Today you can see clearly as far as the eye can see. That is REAL change. Something I can see is something I can believe in. As a whole, the US has reeled in pollution on a large scale, and they're not stopping.
Now they are trying to pass legislation on non-road engines. That means lawn mowers, golf carts
and off road vehicles. Dozens of non-road vehicles and engines, including equipment used in farming, mining and construction are being targeted for inclusion. That will clearly drive up the already skyrocketing cost of recreation, farming and construction.Strap in, kids. It's going to be a long down-hill road, and you and I are going to pay for it. Even though many of us only use our OHVs a few times a year, and when we do use them, they emit less pollution than we usually generate getting to where we recreate.
