Brillion First City to be State Approved ATV Park

On May 01, 2007 Brillion, Wisconsin started allowing (under special conditions) the use of ATVs, Golf Carts and NEVs (Neighborhood electric vehicles) as alternative forms of transportation on certain public streets. In a day and age when people and groups constantly target ATVs as being the bane of everything that is good and wholesome, Police Capt. Dan Alloy of Brillion, Wi opened his city to ATV use for transportation.
It's taken 3 years, but Brillion has established itself as the central hub for what could very well be a new movement in an effort to reduce our independence on foreign oil and air pollution and increase both popularity and safety awareness related to ATV use. The city is charging $25.00 for permits for residents, and visitors can get guest permits, but only through residents who have permits. In other words, you can't just stroll into town and start riding or get a permit to start riding. You have to be a sponsored "guest rider" so to speak.
