Boomers love the three-wheeler
With the increasing number of aging baby boomers still fit and able to enjoy the outdoors, the last five years has seen a proliferation in three wheeled motorcycles. Boomers want to enjoy the outdoors without having to worry about handling a regular motor bike; the three wheelers allow the rider to sit in comfort and feel more in control of the bike.
The Evergreen Safety Council, a non-profit group, believe that the three-wheelers handle much differently than a normal motor bike, and, as a result, they have been pushing for specialized instructor certification and rider tests. Several states have adopted the program and have licensed instructors and schools.
