Bias FOR ATVs in Garfield County: Enragement Ensues

The Salt Lake Tribune had an editorial the other day that was basically slamming Garfield County, Utah for being biased in favor of ATVs. Biased in favor of ATVs. It doesn't happen much, but when it does, it seems to cause some people's head to explode.
In the editorial, the un-disclosed writer pisses and moans about the evil ATVers this and the destructive ATVers that. He cries about how a balance has not been met that includes recreation for hikers, cyclists and horse riders. Seems to me, with the millions of acres available to hikers, bikers and horseback riders, that the fine folks in Garfield ARE trying to strike a balance by maintaining an OHV and ATV friendly county. Something that is severely lacking in the USA.
The best show of ignorance and hypocrisy for this clown is that while he says Balance should be the goal, he clearly and openly calls for the removal of ATVs and OHVs with comments like many outdoor enthusiasts who prefer a quieter experience and touts how the county ignores the potential harm that ATVs can do to the fragile backcountry and blinded by the tourist dollars riding into town aboard ATVs.
Congrats to Garfield County for acting like they have a pair and trying to keep things balanced.
