ATV Safety: A Woman That Knows What She Wants

I love a strong woman. Especially a well educated, focused, strong woman. Karen Coria is all that and then some. I was reading an article in the Register Herald about a new "push for ATV regulations". When I saw the headline, I thought to myself, great, more legislation to try to close public land, or to prohibit kids from riding even appropriate sized-ATVs, or something along those lines.
I was reading. And reading. And reading. So far I didn't find the part where it said "close this trail" or "ban kids from ATVs" or any of that. The worst I found was to eliminate them from ALL paved roads. I'm ok with that, I know how unstable they can be. But I still wasn't buying it. Where was the hidden gem?
I finally found it. Private property!
It seems our little-miss-Coria has something to say about ATVs and private property. I knew it! Here's what she had to say about regulating ATVs on private property...
While many deaths and injuries result in accidents on private property, Coria says the Legislature shouldn't attempt to regulate ATVs there.
"Folks are going to do what they're going to do," she said. "It's hard to legislate that. That shouldn't be a part of the legislation.
What a gal!
