ATV Park Proposal Sparks Enviro-Meltdown
So New York State bans ATV riders from all of it's 3 million acres of public land, and they don't expect OHVers to be mad? It seems like every attempt to get off roaders a place to ride is shot down or attacked or slandered or or or...

It's getting ridiculous in some places. There is currently a plan to use up a whopping 700 acres of this 3,000,000 acres of public land for an ATV park. 700 acres. (Psst... that's like .0002 percent of the total acreage.)

Environmental extrememists are fighting the plan. The Adirondack Park Agency is questioning the plan, yet they continually collect enormous amounts of money from registration fees, yet forbids them the use of the public land they're paying fees for.

That's not it! New York State has nearly 150,000 registered ATVs. There are six ATV parks, which are private, btw. There are 30,000 new ATVs sold each year, and about 20,000 who are sick of being screwed so they quit registering their ATVs. This means more of these folks will be riding illegally.

That's how easy it is to make criminals out of every day otherwise law-abiding citizens.
