As the Season Ends for Some, It Begins for Others
As we move from winter to Spring, the OHV season is ending for some, and beginning for others.

In the desert that is San Diego County, we ride mostly in the winter months because it's too hot otherwise. With access to roughly 95% of the world's available climates within just a few hours of here, there's a lot to do besides off roading. It really doesn't get much better.

The bad part is that there's literally no place inside San Diego County to really ride, so we have to drive for at least an hour or two to ride anywhere besides our yards. Therefore we usually go for more than one day.

That's not the case for most of the US, though. As much of the country has a very distinct transition from cold to warm, tails once used for snow-mobiles are melting to expose All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) trails. They are often close by and don't require hours of planning and drive. But areas like that are disappearing fast, so either enjoy them while you can, or get involved with one of the many OHV groups that is working to protect your riding rights.
